Catalina Island Diving

After embarking in the beautiful port of La Romana, a port located on the waters of the picturesque Rio Salao, we will sail for about 30 minutes in a south-westerly direction to the first reef of Catalina Island, the famous area known as the

Wall, a vertical wall that descends in two stages to a depth of more than 50 meters, ideal for scuba diving.

The first dive begins with a gentle descent to a depth of about 3 meters over a reef full of fauna, we continue our dive gradually reaching greater depth, at 9 meters deep we will find the famous Wall, those divers that both certification and experience allows them could descend to greater depth. The walls of the Muro are full of large corals, huge gorgonians and many colorful tropical fish.

The second dive will take place in an area known as the Aquarium, the name comes from the large number of fish of many different types that we can see during the dive.

We will start the dive by launching from the comfortable platform of the boat and descending to a depth of between 10 and 14 meters, the reef in this dive is always at the same depth making it an easy dive suitable for all levels. On the large sandbanks of this dive we can find huge manta rays resting semi-buried, lion fish, trumpet fish, surgeon fish, butterfly fish, balloons, moray eels, etc., etc., are some of the inhabitants of this area of Catalina Island.
