Don’t miss a dive because of a minor problem with your diving equipment. Whether it’s a missing O-ring, a rip in your wetsuit or a broken fin strap, the PADI Equipment Specialist course teaches you how to perform basic repairs and adjustments. You can also learn more about how the equipment works, become more comfortable with it and be better prepared to take care of your investment.
If you are at least 10 years old and certified as a PADI (Junior) Scuba Diver or higher, you can enroll in the Equipment Specialist course.
Academic
You will learn about routine care and maintenance procedures as well as dive equipment storage recommendations. Your instructor will show you how to troubleshoot some problems with the equipment and offer suggestions for equipment configuration. You can even go out on the water to try out new or unfamiliar equipment.
Team
Your PADI Instructor may ask you to bring your basic scuba equipment to class, but will also have examples of other scuba equipment for you to work with during training.
