Arena Cayo

The north coast of the Dominican Republic is one of the most important touristic areas of the country along with Punta Cana, Bavaro and Santo Domingo. Along all its coastline that goes from the Galeras, at the Samana Peninsula, up to Monte Cristi. We will find various cities and small villages that will offer the visitor the best leisure, adventure and nature options, not forgetting about the impressive beaches, considered as some of the most beautiful of the Caribbean.

Destiny Caribbean Tours has prepared a delightful trip through the most beautiful beaches, Cayos, villages, rivers and cascades on the north of Dominican Republic. A wild nature encounter from a region that hasn’t yet been discovered.

We will visit places like the 27 puddles of Damajagua, the beautiful colonial city of Puerto Plata and getting to the more than impressive cable car of the city. Charming villages like Sosua and Cabarete, ideals to enjoy the night in great beach bars. We will also visit Punta Rusia with its famous Ensenada beach where its colours seems like brought from a picture. We will also visit Estero Hondo, a mangroves area with many manatees which we will be able to see with a bit of luck from a viewpoint and of course, we will visit the tiny but spectacular Arena Cayo, a small thin white sandbank in the middle of the sea surrounded of beautiful coral reefs and large amount of colorful fish. We will have the opportunity to practice snorkel in its crystal clear water and if this wasn’t enough, we will have the opportunity of visiting a a beautiful village uphill, Jarabacoa, located at the center of the mountain range where a plateau of 525 meter lifts up. At this area we will be able to enjoy some of the rivers that go across like the Yaque del Norte, Jimenoa river or Baiguate river- Some of these rivers have created impressive water jumps like the Gran Salto de Jimenia, mandatory stop when we visit this nice area.
