Have you been without diving lately and need a quick dive refreshment? The ReActivate ™ program is the perfect way to update your PADI Open Water Diver Course skills and knowledge before jumping back into the water. Whether you want some reminders or need to review the basics, ReActivate is customized for you: Review the concepts of diving comfortably on your tablet, mobile device or computer, and then go diving with a PADI Professional. It’s quick and easy and a good way to prepare for your next PADI course or be ready for a diving vacation. Best of all, divers who complete both the knowledge review and the water skills receive a replacement certification card with the date of ReActivated in it.

Any certified PADI diver who wants a dive review or an update before a trip, must do the ReActivate. Dive shops appreciate seeing a recent ReActivate date on your certification card because that means you are ready to go diving.

If you want to know more about diving in a new area or in different dive conditions, also ask to complete a Discover Local Diving experience at a local dive site.

ReActivate is a new PADI program that may not be available in all areas. If you can not access ReActivate, or you can not access in your language, your PADI Instructor can still complete a diving skills review with you and you can review your diving knowledge with Scuba Tune-Up Online.

* Your PADI certification does not expire. Participation in PADI ReActivate ™ is not mandatory, but it is recommended as an easy way to refresh your fundamental safety knowledge and skills if you have not dived for some time. Divers who complete both the knowledge review and the water skills receive a replacement certification card with the date of “ReActivated thru” on it.

Academic

By using the ReActivate Touch (for tablets and mobile devices), you will be immersed in diving scenarios and make decisions that will test your understanding of important dive safety concepts, essential dive planning and problem management. Scroll through ReActivate at your own pace and delve into the topics when you need or want.

In the water, your PADI Professional will help you recover comfort and confidence in diving. You will practice some safety related skills and then review specifically what you want to review.

Equipment

You will use the basic diving equipment including a mask, tube, fins, regulator, vest, and a diving bottle. The protective suit you need will depend on whether you are going to dive in a pool, or a confined water or open water site. The staff of your PADI Dive Center or Resort will explain other equipment you may need for ReActivate.

Starting

Contact us to get the ReActivate Touch or the ReActivate Online and start working through the scenarios. Or, download the PADI App to your tablet or mobile phone (if you do not already have one) and buy the ReActivate to start immediately. Then, schedule your ReActivate water skills session.
